West Cecil Health Center mourns the tragic loss of Dr. Caitlin McFarland

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Caitlin McFarland, Director of Psychiatry at West Cecil Health Center. Dr. McFarland was involved in a fatal auto accident early this morning, Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

We will forever remember her commitment to her work, her passion for serving the mental health needs of her patients, and for being a strong advocate for mental health education among gender minorities. We offer our sincere condolences to her family, patients, and colleagues during this very difficult time.

As a devoted team member of the entire West Cecil Health Care family, she was much admired and respected and will be deeply missed by all of us.

If you are a patient of Dr. McFarland, West Cecil Health Center wants you to know we have therapists available for you to talk to. Additionally, our Medical staff will help to refill medications until we can connect you to further care.
